Parish Groups

Our faith community can be nourished by active participation in parish groups that meet for prayer, social action, Sacramental preparation, youth work and the support of others in the life the Church. To share our lives in these ways allows us to offer ourselves and draw strength from each other.

Please contact the Parish Office for further information.

Justice and Peace Group

was formed in 2005. Based on the Scriptures, the values which inspire us are love, hope and compassion. We seek to raise awareness of human rights issues both here and abroad, encourage lively debate and respond in any small way that we can. The Group meets about 5 or 6 times a year, to discuss issues of interest to the group and to plan forthcoming events. We are a small ecumenical group of committed individuals who would very much like you to join us.

For more information please contact David Brinsden.

The Candlelite Club

was established in January of this year and provides social meetings for the Senior Citizens of our parish. We meet on the last Friday of every month at 2pm in the Parish Hall. We have a varied programme of events which include outings, speaker meetings, flower arranging and quizzes. All are welcome to come along and meet new friends.

For further information please contact Margaret Dowd or Rachel Franc.

The Parish Social Committee

was re-established in October 2007 with 5 new members and we have since almost doubled in size, with lots of helpers when needed. Our meetings are always fast & always fun! We are planning a number of events. The emphasis with the social committee is about family – THE PARISH FAMILY.
