About Us
The Catholic Parishes consist of the two Catholic churches in Borehamwood – St Teresa’s and Saints John Fisher and Thomas More.
Borehamwood is just in Hertfordshire bordering the London Borough of Barnet. Famous for its association with films and film making, it still has Elstree Studios with its infamous ‘Big Brother House’, and the BBC studios where EastEnders, Holby City etc. are filmed.
St.Teresa of The Child Jesus is the larger of the two churches. It is situated at 291 Shenley Road opposite Hertsmere Civic Offices and close to Elstree Studios. The church of SS. John Fisher and Thomas More is in Rossington Avenue close to the northern end of Borehamwood.
At the moment we have a mass going population of around 750 to 800, with a very ethnically diverse congregation spanning all age groups, with a major bulge on the infant and toddler spectrum. St. Teresa’s Primary is our parish school and at the moment it is a one-form entry but well over-subscribed.
Car Parking
St Teresa’s: There is a car park at the back of the church specially for those attending Mass, but this quickly reaches full capacity during busy periods (e.g., Sunday Masses). Paid parking spaces are also available at the Civic Offices car park opposite the church, and also in Brook Road (next to St Teresa’s school).
SS John Fisher and Thomas More: Limited parking space is available in front of the church.
Accessibility
Both churches are accessible by wheelchair and there are accessible toilets in both churches.

Safeguarding
We take safeguarding seriously. We strive to create an environment in which all are safe from harm and abuse and where every person is encouraged and enabled to enjoy the fullness of life in Jesus Christ through the prayerful, caring, nurturing, supportive and protective endeavours of the Catholic community, both individually and collectively.
