St Mary’s St Vincent de Paul Group are active in the local community. Some of their activities include assisting the elderly or housebound, organising lunch events for elderly parishioners and taking communion to the sick at home or in hospital.
The group also befriend the homeless in the local and wider community. A small dedicated group go out one evening a month and provide rough sleepers with basic hygiene essentials, sleeping bags, food, water, etc. This is of course particularly important during the colder months of the year.
