During 2019 the Joint Parish Pastoral Council (JPPC) worked on developing a Parish Vision Statement for our three parishes. This has been an important early step in our process of renewal. The purpose of the Vision Statement is to give a sense of direction to where we are going as parishes. It is not a statement about who we currently are (though that might be partially true) but it is more a statement about who we are seeking to become as communities of joyful missionary disciples. The JPPC has also produced a ‘strapline’ – Encountering Jesus, Serving Others – which seeks to sum-up the essence of our Vision Statement. The strapline line now features prominently on the Homepage of our parish websites and on the front of the parish newsletter. Here is our Parish Vision Statement:
