The basics of a Christian life are simple, or so it seems. Yet in the everyday, we often find the final element – to love ourselves – surprisingly difficult. Without love for ourselves, life can become very bleak. During this morning Scripture, literature and Christian meditation will help us become reacquainted with the source deep within ourselves.
Josie von Zitzewitz is a literary scholar and university lecturer. She has been meditating for 20 years and regularly gives retreats, including several workshops here in Cockfosters in recent years. She is an oblate of the World Community for Christian Meditation and lives in London and Norway.
