Finance Committee

The Finance Committee helps Fr Chris with the financial administration of the parish. Committee members, who all have appropriate experience, approve major items of expenditure, maximise parish income and ensure that our financial records are accurate and up to date.

Building, Health and Safety Committee

Our Buildings Committee is a group of parishioners with professional and DIY skills who look after our parish buildings. They see to minor repairs, call in the professionals when necessary and make sure that we comply with the latest Health and Safety regulations.

Communications Group

Our Communications Group tries to keep parishioners and visitors well-informed, and to maintain good communications with our neighbours in the local community. Group members look after the church notice boards, prepare posters and displays, update the parish website and maintain links with the local media.

Social Committee

The Social Committee organises a variety of events throughout the year. Our parish diary includes events for all – receptions to welcome New Parishioners, BBQ, Charity Dinner, International Evening, Christmas Party for Senior Citizens … and much more.

Parish Pastoral Council

Our Parish Pastoral Council aims to make St Lawrence’s a better parish – spiritually, socially, ecumenically and in our relationship with our neighbours in the local community.

  • The PPC is composed of members of the Pastoral Team, the Parish Treasurer, parishioners appointed by the Parish Priest and – the largest group – parishioners elected by our parish community
  • Regular updates on PPC deliberations are put in the newsletter and a report from the PPC is given at our annual Open Parish Meeting, which also offers an opportunity for parishioners to set an agenda for the PPC for the coming year
