4th August Bulletin

Dear Friends,

We are busy preparing for la rentrĂ©e here at St Mary’s so please do keep an eye out for announcements about our sacramental preparation programme and various events we are planning from the start of September. Please look at the events section of this website and a calendar will open up enabling you to see what’s on. I would like to draw your attention to a few things that we will be doing to mark The Season of Creation which starts on 1st September. We will have a changing display at the entrance to the church with contributions from our youth groups but also from any of you should you wish. Just get in touch with us. On 8th September we will screen Pope Francis’ The Letter. If we get more than 16 people interested in coming we will move the screening to the church. Otherwise we will sit in the Parish room! There will be refreshments and time for discussion afterwards. We will be holding a Fair Trade event on Sunday 15th September in the Parish room. Come and join us  for a cup of tea and sweet treats from 11h00 to 13h00 and help us to raise money in support of fair trade and climate justice. Donations will  go to Transform Trade https://www.transform-trade.org/big-brew.

We will also be holding meetings for parents and children interested in joining our catechetical groups. These will be held on 15th September at 09h30 (First Holy Communion and Post-First Holy Communion) and on 6th October at 12h30 (Confirmation).

Finally, and also on 15th September we are having a wonderful talk by Andrew Pierce aided and interviewed by Paddy O’Connell. Please look at the events section for more information.

God bless,

Monsignor Phelim
