Catholic Nonviolence Days of Action

Making active nonviolence our way of life in the Church and the world

Pax Christi International is inviting people to study, pray, act and celebrate the power of nonviolence. To this end our parish is planning a week of various activities on the theme of nonviolence beginning Saturday 26th September, ending Friday 2nd October.

Events will include a short Peace Pilgrimage to pray for peace using interfaith prayers and to remember Hitchin Conscientious Objectors, a Silent Vigil to demonstrate our commitment to acts of nonviolence by drawing attention to injustices and a Peace Crane Workshop. Activities will be done in accordance with current COVID-19 rules and observing social distancing. It is essential we have an idea of numbers so please email Ann at the address below.

We aim to have a number of displays on different themes and we invite parishioners to submit material for these if they wish. Please contact Ann at email address oliasah-peace@famma.info to submit material and/or for any further details.
