Financial Matters

Donate

If you’d like to donate to our parish then a huge and hearty thank you! The delapidated roof of the presbytery, see the picture below, has now been patched up so rain water can no longer pour in but unfortunately, the expense has eaten into our bank balance which was pretty bad even before the building works started. If you’d like to donate then we really appreciate that. You can donate by clicking here or you can use the contactless card readers in the church porch. Here are other ways to donate…

Bank Transfer

To make a one-off donation please use the parish bank account details:

Account Name:  WRCDT Islington
Sort Code:  40-05-20
Account Number:  71308327
Reference:  Surname and First Initial

If you are a UK taxpayer, please Gift Aid your donation. The government will top up your gift by 25 percent, meaning a £20 offering becomes £25, at no cost to you.

For more information about Gift Aid, please click here.

To Gift Aid your bank transfer donations, please send an email to giftaid@rcdow.org.uk with the following information:

– Your parish name

– Your title, first name and surname

– Your address and postcode

– The date of your gift, or start date of Standing Order

– The amount

– Please add the line: ‘Please Gift Aid my donations’

The Diocese Gift Aid office will add your declaration immediately, on behalf of your parish, and email you a confirmation.

Contactless card readers

When making donations through the contactless card readers, please ensure you enter your complete address not just your post code or house/flat number. If you pay tax on your UK income (including bank interest or investments) we’re able to reclaim the tax on your donation from HMRC at no extra cost to you.

Standing Order

If you would like to make a regular (monthly/quarterly/annual) donation to your parish, you can download a Standing Order form here:

Crumbling presbytery

Oh dear! The above pic shows what happens when essential repair work has been postponed for many years – collapsing roofs, disintegrating ceilings and lots of rain water coming inside. Emergency repair work has taken place over the last 5 months but this has only patched up the literal big holes. There’s still lots to do (restore electricity to all rooms, replace rotting window frames, stop wobbly steps from wobbling, eliminate damp etc). Any nice honest builders, handymen, DIY enthusiasts and money will be of enormous help. Many thanks for your support.
