- Fr John writes ...
Sadly the church is now closed to parishioners and visitors and will not reopen until the Government permits. If you see this message please encourage other parishioners to sign up for the parish e-alerts below.
Fr John can be contacted by email or phone and is happy to receive your calls. If you do not get an answer please leave a message and he will get back to you. Please share this with any parishioner living alone who does not have access to the internet. They might also appreciate your printing off some of the reflections and resources on the parish or diocesan website.
Please also warn elderly people living alone not to open the door to strangers offering to do a coronavirus test or to run errands. It will probably be a scam.
Mass continues to be offered every day and you are all constantly in our prayers.
Some people have asked about Confession. Confessions cannot be heard by phone and the rules of social isolation to not envisage calling to the presbytery. In the circumstances you are invited to say an Act of Contrition and then celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation when the rules on social isolation are lifted.
