Our Patron Saint

Read about  St Hugh of Lincoln ,  why he is normally depicted as a bishop and why he is normally accompanied by a swan!

But 500 years (approx) before St Hugh,  lived Hilda of Whitby (614-680 CE). She is a Christian saint who was an important figure in the Christianisation of Anglo-Saxon England.

Both St Hugh and St Hilda have their feast days on 17th November each year.
