Our church is open from 7 in the morning to 7 at night, and it is rarely empty. Some come into the church as it is part of their daily routine, others may be looking for a holy space to pray and be alone. But at this time of year when there are so many visitors to London, many people pop in surprised to find such a lovely church on Kingsway. It is to welcome these and other visitors that we have set up a welcome desk in the church for July-August. The Welcomer’s role is to answer the best they can any questions they might be asked about the church, or point the person to our guide book. They will also assist in prayer, by making the larger votive candles available, above all they will be a welcoming face to our church.
