ALPHA Course

In January 2016 we will run Alpha. Joy is at the heart of the experience of Alpha; in welcoming others, eating together, friendship, simple prayer, the warmth and humour of the talks and in people sharing their stories. The course will be run in the HUME CENTRE, Cortayne Road.

What is ALPHA in a Catholic Context?

Alpha is a tool for evangelisation that is being used by thousands of Catholic parishes in over 70 countries around the world. Alpha is also run by churches of many other denominations to introduce people to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. This has led to more than 24 million people around the world experiencing Alpha.

Who can come to Alpha?

Anyone who wants to find out more about Christianity. Anyone who wants to re-engage with their faith. Anyone!

Possible reasons for coming along:

I want to deepen my faith…

I want to be able to understand what my children are being taught at their christian faith schools…

I was born a Catholic yet seem to be going through the motions …

I have married a Catholic and I want to understand a little more…

I want to meet people from the parish and wider community…

I want to find out more about Alpha – I have heard a lot about it…

I have done the Alpha course and want to help share it with others…

We will be supported by the Alpha Catholic Context team and will be looking at a series of questions:

If you wish to come along as a guest or a group facilitator then please write back to me.

I look forward to hearing from you.
