LIBRARIES

While libraries remain closed, customers can join the library online and then have access to a huge range of online resources.

We add daily content to our Facebook page: @StevenageCentralLibrary featuring the many resources that we offer and highlighting books, magazines and activities that are available for free. At the top of our page is a link to FAQs which provides information on how to join the library and access services.

We are creating and signposting activities for children and families including:

Virtual LEGO Club every Saturday with simple, loose themes so that children can play along and upload photos of their creations

Chatterfamilies – book discussion and activity sessions for the whole family, currently featuring How to Train your Dragon, but this will change every few weeks

Online Rhyme Time and Toddler Tales from libraries across Hertfordshire

Mini challenges e.g. How to draw a seagull

Book related mini quizzes

During May we are highlighting Walking Month and inviting people to post photos from their daily exercise, this can be from out in the local countryside or in the back garden
