Preparation for Baptism of Infants (Two Saturday afternoons each month)
This takes place in church or at times in the Parish Office.
First Holy Communion/ First Reconciliation
The programme starts on the first Tuesday of October and ends in May of the following year – term time only.
Enrolment starts in July and ends mid-September. Parents session: First Tuesday of every month [from October], in the Parish Hall from 6pm – 7pm. Children’s session: Every second Friday & Saturday (Group 1 Fridays 5.30pm to 6.30pm and Group 2 Saturdays 12noon to 1pm)
Our Parish Catechists and Parents prepare the children for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Children should make this preparation in Year 3 [age 7 and above]..
Confirmation
Confirmation Preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation takes place for young people in Year 9 and above [Candidates must be 14 years old and above by 31st August of the following year]. Enrolment starts in July and ends mid-September.
The programme starts end September/first week in October and ends in May of the following year on Mondays 6.00pm to 7.30pm term time only.
RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The sessions of preparation for Adult Baptism, Confirmation and Reception into the Catholic Church runs from October until Easter of the following year. Enrolment begins in July until mid-September.
RCIC – Rite of Christian Initiation of Children
Preparation for Children from age 7 to 18 who have not been baptised takes place every Sunday from October, first with the 11am Mass followed immediately after with a catechetical session upstairs in the Parish Hall on Brereton Road from 12.15pm to 1.15pm. Enrolment begins in July until mid-September. Programme starts on the first Sunday in October and ends at Easter the following year.
