Coronavirus support for residents and Phoneline for vulnerable residents
We have a dedicated phoneline to support vulnerable residents and people identified by the NHS as being at the highest risk of severe illness from coronavirus.
If you have been identified by the NHS as being at the highest risk of severe illness from coronavirus, you can read the full government guidance online.
Who should contact the Council
This number is for Tower Hamlets residents, their families or their carers to let the council know if they have any urgent requirements.
The phone line can be used by vulnerable residents that need help during this difficult time including:
- residents that have been identified as being extremely vulnerable,
- those at the highest risk of severe illness,
- the very elderly,
- people with disabilities,
- those self-isolating with underlying health conditions,
- or those isolating as a result of NHS Test and Trace.
Discuss your concerns
The line can be used to discuss any concerns around:
- social isolation,
- help people may need with food supplies,
- access to medication,
- or worries about debt.

The phone line is open: Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm)

Help while you are isolating if you are not classed as extremely vulnerable
All other residents who are not classed as being at the highest risk of severe illness from coronavirus, or who are not extremely vulnerable should use the COVID-19 self-isolation support request form to let us know about their situation and any help they may need while isolating and managing your care.
Once you have completed the form, someone from the council will be in contact to discuss your needs.
Other support for residents
Residents can find out about other support available during the coronavirus pandemic on the council website, including information on benefits and financial support and housing advice.
