Our Mission
The Catholic Chaplaincy for the Universities and other Higher Education Institutions in the Diocese of Westminster fosters the development of Christian faith and practice within the capital’s academic communities. As a visible presence it supports and encourages both students and staff to grow in the knowledge and love of God. It forms a community graced by the Spirit to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed.
The way we seek to effect our Mission has a threefold dimension: community, spirituality and mission
Community – To provide access to the Catholic Faith Community, its worship, teaching and fellowship and so to provide a place of belonging.
Spirituality – To provide a place of encounter with the depths of Christian spirituality through liturgy, prayer, the sacraments and other spiritual exercises.
Mission – To make known the Gospel of Christ within the institutions served and to encourage a spirit of service to the world.
