Parish Groups

Our faith community can be nourished by active participation in parish groups that meet for prayer, social action, Sacramental preparation, youth work and the support of others in the life the Church. To share our lives in these ways allows us to offer ourselves and draw strength from each other.

Arts and Crafts

Session is on a Wednesday, once a month, from 2pm until 3:30pm in St. Edmund’s Church Hall.

Cleaning Team

There are 4 cleaning teams who clean the church before the weekend masses.
They normally meet, on rota, every Friday morning after the 9.15am mass.

Charismatic Prayer Group

Meet every Wednesday in the Presbytery at 7.30 pm for Prayer, Praise, & Worship with God.

Choir

Singing regularly at the 10:30am Mass on Sundays and on special occasions.
Sunday 12 noon – Music Mass
Practise: Choir practise for the 10.30 am Sunday Mass is on Friday at 8.15 pm. in the Choir Loft.
The choir would welcome new members with a commitment to the Friday practise and 10.30 am Sunday sung Mass. Ability to read music is not essential.

Children’s Liturgy

For all children age 3-10 years
Time: At the 9.15am and 12.00noon Masses on Sunday.
Location: The children meet by the Sacristy before the start of Mass and they are led to the Presbytery for their own Children’s Liturgy.
Activities: The children have their own Liturgy of the Word and learn to pray, sing and work together on themes related to the readings for that Sunday.
Leaders: The Children’s Liturgy Group supervises and conducts these sessions.

FairtradeFairtrade Stall

Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.
Go on do your bit by buying and enjoying some Fairtrade products.
A Fairtrade Stall is open regularly in the Reconciliation Room at the back of the Church.

Eucharistic Ministers

Distribute the Precious Body and Blood at Mass and bring communion to the Sick and Housebound.
Patients are visited every Tuesday evenings by a group of Eucharistic Ministers from 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the North Middlesex Hospital.
A Monthly Mass –Every 1st Tuesday in the month is held in the Multi- Faith Room (Chapel) at North Middlesex Hospital.

Prayer2Rosary Prayer Group

The Rosary is prayed after the 9.15am mass and 12noon mass.
The Rosary Prayer Group meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 11am to 11.45am and is followed by the 12noon mass and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
