Faith without works is dead
Let’s rewind back to April 2021 when COVID 19 was still very much a household topic, raging all around uprooting life as we knew it. As a Zimbabwean Chaplaincy in England and Wales, we held our most successful virtual fundraising event to date. With donations made to 3 specific projects in Zimbabwe which needed our help; firstly, to the renovation of St Bernard’s Minor Seminary, Bulawayo. Secondly, for the renovation of St Theresa Mission Hospital in Mvuma and for the construction of a Catholic Shrine (Grotto) for the Sisters of the Child Jesus (SJI), Gweru. The finished work of the Grotto is depicted in the photo. All donations were received with grateful hearts and prayers. We are grateful to our Charity Fundraising Committee amongst other ministries within the Chaplaincy for all their hard work in organising all these events and the difference it makes, and to the whole community for their engagement. “Always give without remembering and Always receive without forgetting”.
