Summer BBQ
The seminary community kept the bank holiday in celebratory style with a BBQ. The Union Flag bunting was especially appropriate for this typically British event: we had to run for cover as the heavens opened with a torrential, albeit brief, downpour. The seminary’s academic year came to a close with exams last week. This week […]

On Sunday 14th April, ahead of Deaf Awareness Week, the seminary hosted a Mass in Word and Sign, in which seminarians participated with readings, bidding prayers, and hymns. We are grateful that he spoke so […]

We celebrated the Solemnity of the Douai Martyrs on Saturday, 28th October. The Douai Martyrs were men who trained for the priesthood at Douai College (France) during the English Reformation and were executed when they returned to England for preaching the Catholic faith. In total, there are 158 martyrs between 1577 and 1680. The celebration […]

Fr Javier led the first-year seminarians on a visit to the British Museum to see artefacts relating to the Bible as part of their introduction to biblical studies. The museum contains objects of interest from ancient Israel, Egypt, Assyria, Babylon and Rome, all of which help to bring the academic studies alive and remind us […]
