The McKennas moving to new pastures

The Parish Priest and Parishioners of St Paul’s Church, Cheshunt wish to express their gratitude for the many years’ service you have given to our Parish.

Over thirty six years you have touched the lives of many people.

Maria, you have done so much to help the young people as Brownie leader, running the Children’s Liturgy and Mothers’ and Toddlers’ group, creating the tradition of the Gospel Nativity at Christmas, inspiring our teenagers as they prepare for Confirmation and teaching at St Paul’s Catholic Primary School.

John, you have always been there to help a new parish priest settle in, you have been a spiritual influence, a leader of the Parish Pastoral Council, a catechist, a Knight of St Columba and, latterly, skilfully led us in our response to the pandemic.

You have both contributed your musical skills, been Ministers of the Eucharist and through your charitable work with the local community you have opened our eyes as to how we can be true Christians.

The Parish Priest and Parishioners of St Paul’s Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, wish you God’s blessings on your journey of faith.
