Celebratory Weekend
Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June
On Saturday 25th June the 5.30pm mass was celebrated by Cardinal Vincent Nichols. Mass. This was followed by a “Parish Summer Hog Roast” attended by about 300 people.

On Sunday 26th June after 9am and 11am masses there was a “Celebratory Toast“ in the main hall.

Commemorative mugs marking the 80th anniversary of the parish are on sale in the parish shop. Price £5 each.

There is a team of volunteers preparing other ways to mark this special occasion in the parish, so please watch this space!



“Rich in Mercy”

The Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy began with Pope Francis opening the Holy Door in the Vatican. The Cardinal opened the Holy Door in Westminster Cathedral in the context of Vespers and Benediction on Sunday, 13 December. There is also a Holy Door at Our Lady of Carmel and St George in Enfield.
The Cardinal has prepared A Pilgrimage Companion for the Year of Mercy by way of explanation and to help us experience God’s mercy to the full. Copies of the booklet can be bought for £1 from the parish shop.
