Preparing to receive Reconciliation (Confession) and the Eucharist for the first time can be one of the most memorable experiences parents share with their children. Beforehand it is important that the family attend Mass regularly so that the child understands more fully what the Eucharist is about.
Preparation for reception of Holy Eucharist in conjunction with the First Reconciliation (Confession) Programme and is open to all children in Year 3 or above in Primary school. Preparation for First Confession and First Communion takes place in the parish usually between October and June. There are meetings for parents and sessions for children. To register you can fill in the form at this link and email it to Sister Miriam on ssnd27@yahoo.co.uk or pick up a form at church and leave it in the sacristy.
Those who register will be contacted in September with details of the preparation process, a request for a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate and other information. If you have any questions, please do contact Sister Miriam
