10th Hayes Beavers
Purpose: To make new friends and have fun. Beavers is a branch of Scouting set up in the early 1980’s to provide an introduction to the Movement for boys of 6 – 8 years of age. It aims to provide fun and friendship. Learning is achieved through play and interaction with other members of the ‘Colony”. The weekly meetings, designed by the leaders, introduce the boys to work individually and as a team and to a spiritual awareness; to appreciate their own abilities and to tolerate their failings as well as those of others.
