Administration

Child Protection

In accordance with the diocesan requirement, St Joan of Arc Parish has a Child Protection Policy and a designated and trained Child Protection Coordinator. We start from the principle that each child has a right to expect the highest level of care and protection, love, encouragement and respect that we can give. Any adults who come into significant contact with children, young people and vulnerable adults in our parish are CRB checked. Details of our policy can be found on the parish notice-board.

Church Cleaning

We have a team who clean the church each week after 10.00am Saturday Mass. More volunteers are always welcome.

Finance Committee

This committee has responsibility to ensure that the parish property is well maintained and to exercise due stewardship over all parish assets. It is made up of nine parishioners and Father Gerard, and meets four times a year. The committee aims to apply Catholic values as well as good business practice in discharging its responsibilities to manage the parish finances.

Chair: Alex Kuczynski

Parish Council

The Parish Pastoral Council is made up of a representative group of parishioners working with Father Gerard and meets quarterly. The role of council members is to give their help in fostering all aspects of parish life, apart from finance and administration. The ultimate aim is to encourage parishioners to become actively involved in the life of the parish and to reach out to others in the wider community.

Since it was formed in 2009, the PPC has worked to improve how the parish communicates with parishioners via the newsletter, the parish directory, the church noticeboards and this website. We organise an annual party and planned the celebrations marking the Golden Jubilee of the present church in September 2012.
