A Sacrament is an efficacious sign of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is given to us. Full and active participation in the sacramental life of the Church requires a period of preparation of both mind and heart to be receptive to the grace of new life in Christ.
Baptism
Individual baptisms of infants (under 7 years) usually take place on the fourth Saturday of the month, except during Lent.
One parent and the godparents must attend a Baptism Preparation Class.

1. A copy of your child’s birth certificate.

Marriage
If you live in this parish and are hoping to marry, either here or elsewhere, please contact the parish office directly via email.
To begin the marriage paperwork process, please prepare the following documents for both the bride and groom:
1. Up-to-date Baptismal Certificate – Must be issued within the last six months.
2. Confirmation Certificate.
3. Details of Residency in the Parish – Include dates of residency (from and to).
4. Pre-marriage Course Certificate.
5. Original Certificate of any Civil/Court Marriage (if applicable).
6. Evidence of Freedom to Marry
– Can be obtained from a solicitor during your appointment.
– Please bring your original passport and proof of UK residential status (for both parties).
Once all documents are ready, please email the parish office at wembley1@rcdow.org.uk. You will then be invited to attend an appointment to complete the Marriage Form.
Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)
Confessions are available after the 6:30pm Mass on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
If you wish to confess outside the scheduled times, feel free to come directly to the presbytery during office hours.
First Confession (First Reconciliation): In our parish, Catholic children usually make their First Reconciliation part of the Children’s Sacramental Programme, which also includes preparation for First Holy Communion.
Anointing of the Sick
Available upon request for those who are seriously ill, preparing for surgery, or elderly.
Please contact the parish office to arrange a visit from a priest.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
For adults seeking to become Catholic or complete their Sacraments. The programme runs annually and includes catechesis, prayer, and liturgical rites. This year 2025-26 applications are currently closed.
