The staff and students of Allen Hall began the penitential season of Lent by ceremoniously burying the ‘Alleluia’, the Church’s song of joy, which will not now be heard until we celebrate Christ’s Resurrection at Easter. We wish you all a holy and prayerful Lent.

Candlemas

The seminary celebrated the feast of Candlemas, when Christ our Lord was presented in the Temple and Simeon sung of Him as the ‘light to enlighten the Gentiles’. Mass began with the blessing of candles and procession through the seminary to the Chapel.

Academic Dinner

On Wednesday 31st January, all those involved with the academic life of Allen Hall met to discuss the intellectual life of the seminary and there was then a dinner to thank them for their contribution to the intellectual formation of the seminarians.
