June 14th marked the celebration & final send-off of Allen Hall’s Deacons: Revs Scott Coleman, Stephen Trafford, Gary Carter, Sean Power, & James Boyle.
These 5 represent the final generation of Deacons who live in the seminary, as Deacons will live permanently in parishes from now on as part of the updated Formation Programme.
As our Deacons await their Priestly Ordinations in the summer, we keep them all in prayer and thank God for supporting them in their vocation to say yes to the Lord’s call to Ministerial Priesthood.
Amongst our Deacons are the final generation of seminarians from St John’s, Wonersh, which closed in 2021. Since then, seminarians from the dioceses of Southwark, Arundel & Brighton, Clifton, East Anglia, & Cardiff-Menievia have been ordained for their respective dioceses. These priests and soon-to-be priests carry on the legacy of their teachers, each modelled after Christ, the One High Priest, as they embark on their ministerial duties to serve the Sons and Daughters of God.
