Seminarian’s Jubilee -Day 1-

“Planted in the house of the Lord they will flourish in the courts of the our God, still bearing fruit when they are old…”

– Pslam 91

After departing the mountains of Frascati, Allen Hall travelled into Rome for the start of the Seminarian Jubilee celebrations. Stopping along the way, outside Rome, the seminary was given a tour of the catacombs, which are currently being looked after by the Salesians in the area. The legacy of Christianity’s ancient burial grounds was conveyed to the group as the Rector led a prayer at the end of the tour in the catacombs.

After arriving at the hotel, the group attended vespers and adoration at a nearby Church which housed a religious community of sisters. Then, following dinner, the seminarians were given a walking tour of landmarks near the hotel before returning to prepare for the Jubilee’s opening ceremony.

Mary, Glory of the Church Triumphant – pray for us
