The Marian Month of May

“May is the month in which the earth springs into bloom, and likewise the month of Mary brings forth countless graces”

– St John Bosco

The Church dedicates the month of May to the devotion of Christ’s Mother and Our Mother, Mary. At the height of springtime, we recall the various graces imparted from the Blessed Trinity at the request of Mary for us. As Daughter of the Father, Mother of the Son, and Mystical Bride of the Holy Spirit, many things have been entrusted to Our Lady, who always provides the very best for her children. Pope St John Paul II’s motto Totus Tuus was a consecration of everything from the moment he was deemed pope, to Mother Mary, and is an appropriate reminder for us now, following the resurrection of Christ, to entrust ourselves to Mary as Jesus called us to on the Cross. Allen Hall gathered today to crown Mary, a sign pointing to her Queenship over Heaven and Earth as The One Full of Grace.

Holy Virgin, called Blessed by all generations – pray for us
