Reopening of St Mary’s and St Michael’s – from 4th July

St Mary’s and St Michael’s will be open to the public for the celebration of Mass from 4th & 5th July. Please note Mass times have changed.
At our Masses, we will hear the Word of God and receive Holy Communion. Then we will leave the building so it can be cleaned for the next Mass. We will not be singing hymns during this time of re-opening our Church.

The Sunday Mass times are 6:00pm (Sat) and 8:00am & 10.30am (Sun). The church will be open 15 mins before Mass begins.

Confessions: Saturdays from 5:15pm

You are invited to wear a face mask and bring your own hand sanitizer. Please obey all signs, posted in the Church for the good of everyone. No toilet facilities will be available.

Details of First Holy Communion Masses & Confirmation Mass will be posted shortly.

The Obligation to attend Mass on Sunday has been lifted, therefore you are welcome to attend Mass during the week at any Church.

– Christmas day 9am & 11am on December 25th

Sunday Mass time update

With the end of the school Summer holidays, the Sunday Mass will now return to the usual times of 9am and 11am every Sunday from 09/09/18.

HOLY WEEK at St Mary & St Michael’s – 2018

Here are the Service and Mass times for our Church.

  • PALM SUNDAY 24th/25th March 6pm Saturday, 9am & 11am on Sunday.
  • Wednesday 28th Bishop Challoner School here for 9am, 1am & 2pm Mass
  • Holy Thursday 29th March: 1.30pm St Mary & St Michaels School Passion play. Mass of the Lords Supper at 7pm.
  • Good Friday 30th March: Stations of the Cross at 10am. Solemn Passion at 3pm
  • Holy Saturday 31st March Morning Prayer at 9.30am. Easter Vigil at 6pm
  • Easter Sunday 1st April 9am & 11am Mass.


TUESDAY 15th AUGUST FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION. Holyday of Obligation. Mass time 9.30am & 7pm.

Mass will be celebrated in the Sacristy, entrance via Lukin Street 3rd gate on the right.

BENE MERENTI awarded to Tess Doran

BENE MERENTI is a Medal awarded by Pope Francis to people who voluntary give their time in the service of the Church. Recently, the Holy Father awarded this to Tess Doran.  Bishop Nicholas presented this medal to Tess, with her family and friends present.
