About the Parish

The Parish of Hoxton is situated in the Hackney Deanery. It was founded in 1863. The church foundation stone was laid in 1864, and the Church completed in 1866. 

Fr Gabriel Tumba Hassan O.S.A. is Parish Priest of St Monica’s Parish. He is supported by Fr Anthony Zabbey O.S.A (Prior), and Fr Jacob Choi (Bursar).

GOING INTO HOSPITAL – please let Fr Gabriel know beforehand if you wish to receive the sacrament of Holy Anointing. Or, when you get to hospital, inform the staff that you wish to see a Catholic chaplain.

NEWCOMERS to the Parish are invited to introduce themselves to Fr Gabriel and to fill in a Parish registration form.

Parish Secretary – Florence Mukagatare

Florence, our Parish secretary, is in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am-3pm.   A priest will be in the office Friday – Saturday 10am-12.30pm, unless otherwise stated.
