Adoration/Benediction: This takes place every Friday at our Parish church of St Richard of Chichester, Buntingford, from 11-11.30am, that is, after the morning Mass. As always, Adoration provides us the opportunity, time and space to be alone with Jesus in prayer!
Parish Office Hours
- 3.30 to 5.00 pm Tuesday and Thursday at Buntingford. Appointments are not necessary during these hours. No parish office on Monday, Wednesday or Friday
First Holy Communion Classes takes place on Saturday 1st February 2020 at 10.30am in St Richard’s Church, Buntingford.
Next Buntingford Christian Meditation Meeting will be Wednesday at 8pm at 20 Hare Street Road, SG9 9HW
Sunday, 26th January – Coffee Morning & Raffle after 09.15 Mass in Benson Hall. Donations in aid of The Daughters of Charity Missionary work in Ethiopia. All are very welcome.
2020: Year on Scripture ‘The God Who Speaks’ The year 2020 will be the 10th anniversary of Pope Benedict XVI’s Apostolic Exhortation Verbum Domini, ‘The Word of the Lord’ and the 1600th anniversary of St Jerome’s death. Both events have motivated the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales to dedicate the year 2020 as a year given over entirely to the word of God called The God Who Speaks. As a Parish, we will continue to celebrate, live and share God‘s word. We are also called to develop and explore new ways of responding to ‘The God who Speaks’. With the Third Sunday of the Ordinary Time designated as ‘Sunday of the Word of God’, which is next Sunday, 26th January, there will be opportunities for ‘Blessing of Bible’ and commissioning of Readers after the Gospel reading.
