Torch of Faith

St. Vincent de Paul parishioners are creating a faith legacy for the future by handing over the torch of faith to the next generation.

St. Vincent de Paul Church, Osterley, is situated in the Hounslow Deanery of the Diocese of Westminster. It was founded in 1934. The new church was completed in 2004 and consecrated on 24th September 2005. It is a considerable step to trust God and the generosity of the people; the diocese allowed the parish to undertake the construction with a 1.5 million loan. We have paid more than two-thirds of the loan, despite unimaginable upheavals like the pandemic and the untimely death of our former, much-loved priest, Fr. Mark Leenane.

As of July 2025, £485,093 of the loan undertaken in 2004 to build this new Church Remains Unpaid.

Thank you for your generous support. As of now, our monthly loan repayment commitment is £3,736, plus the interest payments of over £ 6,500 every quarter. We do make additional payments toward the loan, and with your support, one day we will leave a legacy for future generations to keep the parish church full of life, faith and activity.

St. Vincent’s has become a vibrant faith community. We trust God, rely on your prayers, and seek your help in moving towards a missional community of Jesus’ disciples.
