My wife and I have been Parishioners of St Vincent de Paul since 1978. We are blessed with two married daughters and three grandchildren.

I am a Chartered Engineer by profession. Before retirement, I was the Director of Arup, the London-headquartered global firm of independent engineering design and business consultants, founded by Sir Ove Arup, the engineer behind the design of the Sydney Opera House.

In 2001, I was asked to lead the church Building Committee to oversee, on behalf of the Parish, the Design, Construction and financial aspects of the New Church building, with support from other Parishioners. This was an honour and a privilege.  I used my design skills and my experience of working closely with Architects, Engineers and Costing specialists to deliver the New Church. I was able to draw on my track record of completing key building projects in the UK and abroad, many of which were acclaimed for their Sustainability and value-for-money credentials.

 I will be pleased to connect with Parishioners of similar background in the Building Industry.
