On Saturday, 31 January 2026, St Vincent De Paul Church, Osterley, witnessed a vibrant and grace-filled gathering as the parish hosted its first Outreach Programme inspired by Blessed Carlo Acutis. This meaningful initiative was led by our Parish Priest, Fr Feroz Fernandes, together with the Parish Youth Group.
This outreach, a vision close to Fr Feroz’s heart, was supported and animated by members of the Society of St Carlo Acutis, particularly Aidan Andrade and Donna. Their mission was to inspire young people to deepen their understanding of Blessed Carlo Acutis’s life and to grow in love for the Eucharist.
The response from the parish youth was truly overwhelming. A remarkable number of young people participated, many for the very first time, bringing with them enthusiasm, openness, and a genuine desire to engage. Their dedication was evident in every aspect of the day—from creating a beautifully decorated welcome board to their active involvement in the Holy Mass through readings, offertory, and participation in the liturgy. Their efforts in inviting friends, siblings, and family members reflected a spirit of evangelisation and unity.
A central focus of the outreach was drawing young people closer to Jesus through Eucharistic Adoration, Scripture, and reflection. The sessions led by Aidan and Donna were both engaging and deeply meaningful, addressing how the Word of God speaks into real-life situations. These moments encouraged participants to reflect, contemplate, and experience a sense of oneness in the Body of Christ.
The success of this outreach highlights the importance of nurturing the faith of our young people. It was a powerful reminder that, when given guidance and opportunity, they are eager to grow spiritually, serve the Church, and develop a Christ-centred life rooted in the Eucharist and the Word of God.
