St George’s Choir

There has been a choir of men and boys at St George’s Church, Sudbury, since 1932.

The choir sings at the 11.15 am Mass each week and also for the Holy Week and Christmas services.

The choir is directed by Scott Price who is also the Director of Music at The Cardinal Vaughan School.
If you would like your son to be part of this rare opportunity then please get in touch by email – csprice@me.com

Equally, the choir is always happy to welcome new men to its ranks. You do not need to have sung before or be able to read music to join.
Get in touch for further details.

In recent years we have been very fortunate to have been able to sing twice at the Saturday evening Mass at Westminster Cathedral. We sang there again in March 2014.

Also, every few years we travel together as a choir and most recently have toured to Paris and Rome. Singing in St Peter’s Square the night that Pope John Paul II died was a memory which will last with choristers both young and old for ever.

Children’s Liturgy

Takes place during term time at the 9.45am Family Mass and is aimed at children up to First Communion ages (pre-7-8 years old). A rota of Catechists presents simple teaching each week based on the Sunday Gospel. New catechists always welcome.
