Welcome to the webpage of the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception and St Joseph, Waltham Cross. Here you will find information about us including Mass times and Parish contacts.

If you are joining St Joseph’s as a new parishioner, we look forward to welcoming you to our parish and we hope you will enjoy being part of the community of St Joseph’s.
You will find forms for Parish Registration in the Church Porch– please complete and return it to the Parish Office, or place it in the collection bag at the offertory.

We’re keen to hear from you, so please feel free to contact us!

The Church is open for Private Prayer from 8.00am each day. Please follow the directions given on the notice in the Porch.

ATTENDING MASS AT THE WEEKENDS

We are pleased to be able to announce that some of the restrictions around attending Mass at the weekends have now been relaxed.

There is no longer any need for people to let us know that they wish to attend a particular Mass as we no longer need to keep details for Track and Trace purposes.

We are also able to allow more people in the Church at the same time, so we are able to open up more of the benches and remove the restrictions on numbers in some of the benches.

The benches on the right-hand side of the Church will remain restricted and marked out for people who are still not comfortable in more crowded places.

The benches on the left-hand side of the Church, and in front of the Lady Altar will be open access.

The one-way system will be relaxed to some degree, but please follow the directions of the stewards and ushers at all times, especially during the distribution of Holy Communion.

At the end of Mass, in order to ease congestion, we ask that people in the front half of the Church leave by the doors near the Sanctuary, while the people in the rear leave by the central double doors at the main entrance.

The live streaming will continue in the Hall where we will be able to seat 100 people in comfort, and when all the seats in the Church are taken, the Ushers will direct people there.

Please note that although facemasks are no longer compulsory, in order to help protect the vulnerable members of our Community, we ask that you continue to wear a mask when you are in the Church or the Parish Centre.
