Marriage

The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.

Catechism of the Catholic Church 1601

Those wishing to be married are asked to give SIX CLEAR MONTHS‘ notice to allow for the completion of the necessary paperwork. Couples are requested not to book or arrange anything until they have spoken to the Priest.

The above applies to marriages taking place in the UK as well as abroad. Marriage enquiries will only be accepted for couples living and registered within the parish boundary.
