The Sacrament of Confirmation

Confirmation is one of the seven Sacraments of the Church. Together with Baptism and the Eucharist it is a Sacrament of Initiation. At Confirmation the candidate is sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and confirms the faith one has received at Baptism and has inherited from the parents and the Godparents.

In the Diocese of Westminster it is recommended that the candidates are at least 14 years of age (School Year: Year 9) therefore anyone younger than that will be asked to wait until he or she has reached the suitable age.

CONFIRMATIONS 2024

Applications for Confirmations are now open and will close at 9 am on Monday 30 October. Candidates must be in Year 9 and up to Year 13 (17 years old), for 18+ you will need to apply for RCIA. Applications for this year’s Confirmations can be submitted via the following link: Application Form
