Marriage

The Sacrament of Marriage

“The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.” CCC1601

If you wish to marry in our Church we ask that you give the Parish at lest a six month notice. Booking for the Church can be done in advance but the actual paperwork cannot start until six months before the marriage is celebrated. That is to allow time to make sure that all the papers and documents are in place and for the required marriage preparation sessions. If you have done a Marriage Preparation Course elsewhere make sure that the certificate you have is dated within two years of the marriage, any certificate older than that is not suitable. Anyone intending to marry within the next six months that have not yet spoken to Fr Luigi should do so as soon as possible. For enquiries please contact the Parish Office.  Thank you.
