A Mass Offering is a donation or offering given to a priest in exchange for offering a Mass for a specific intention. We believe that the Mass is considered the most powerful form of prayer and is believed to bring blessings and graces upon the person (alive or dead) or intention for which it is offered. The amount of the stipend varies, but it is customary to give what one can afford. This practice dates back to the early days of Christianity, where believers would offer food or other gifts to support the priests and the Church.
Today, the Mass Offering is a way for faithful Catholics to show their gratitude and support for the Church while also seeking spiritual assistance for their intentions. Once you have arranged the date for the Mass with the Parish Office (01923 635541 – press option 3) you can use the link below to make your offering. Thank you for your generosity, which is never taken for granted.
This donation can benefit from Gift Aid. If you pay income tax in the UK then if you agree, at no cost to you. the Parish can claim back 25% of your donation . So, if you make an offering of £20.00, it can be worth £25.00 to the Parish.
