A Sacrament is an efficacious sign of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is given to us. Full and active participation in the sacramental life of the Church requires a period of preparation of both mind and heart to be receptive to the grace of new life in the Catholic faith.
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION 2025-2026
First Holy Communion Preparation for children in Year 3 and above:
First Holy Communion Course for Baptised Catholic children attending Catholic schools and for children who have completed the Foundation Course. (Closing date is Sunday 2nd November 2025). This begins on Saturday 29th November 2025.
These courses are open to the children and families who live and worship in the Parish of St Albans, North Finchley.

Confirmation Preparation for young people in Year 9 and above.
This will begin in November 2025.
