NEW HOPE

The Watford New Hope Christian charity was founded by two housewives in 1990 and works with people who are experiencing homelessness.   It offers support to help such individuals get back on their feet and to live independent lives.  The parish has actively supported New Hope since 2004.  New Hope works on Intervention, Recovery and Prevention services and here are their current initiatives:

Street Outreach Service (SOS), Rough Sleeping Prevention Service (RSPS) and Intervention Team (IT)

The Sanctuary: Assessment Beds (6-beds), Emergency Accommodation (14-beds) and Cluster Flats (11-beds)

Community Home

New Hope House and The Manse

Tenancy Sustainment Team and Hope Homes

Cultivate

Watford Shop (WCS), Croxley Green shop (CGS), and Head Office (HO)

New Hope costs are well over two million pounds a year.  Although there is some funding from official sources, it relies on the local Watford community to support its work.
