You may have seen letters in the local newspapers from our Watford Foodbank, which has been receiving around four tonnes of food less in donations every month since February. The Foodbank has had to buy in food to make up what is needed to give to those in difficulty. Because of this we are particularly grateful to parishioners who gave 101.6 kilos of food in August and 92.2 kilos in September. Thank you.
You can still drop off your foodbank donations to Our Lady and St Michael’s Church during lockdown.
How can you continue to help? You can:
- Bring food for the box at the back of church. Currently most needed items can be found HERE
- Take food directly to the warehouse at Unit 5, The Empire Centre, Imperial Way, North Watford between 10 am and 1 pm, Monday to Saturday inclusive,
- Or, if you wish, you can donate through the Foodbank website.
