We are pleased to offer our Marriage Preparation Course for couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage. We offer our courses twice a year, in May and October.

Date: Saturday 3rd October 2026
Time: 10am- 4pm
Location: Our Lady Immaculate & St Andrew Church, Parish Hall, 16 Nightingale Road, Hitchin, SG5 1QS. (Parking is available. The Church is a 10-minute walk from Hitchin train station)
What to Expect:
This one-day course offers a wonderful opportunity to deepen your understanding of Marriage in the Catholic Church and explore important topics to help build a strong foundation for your marriage. The day will include:
- Faith based discussion: Learn about what it means to be married in the Catholic Church and a chance to discuss your faith together
- Interactive sessions: Engage in fun, interactive activities designed to encourage communication and reflection as a couple
- Discussion on marriage topics: Explore various aspects of marriage and topics that you may or may not have thought about, but are essential for a successful and long-lasting marriage
Bring and Share Lunch:
During the day, we have a ‘bring and share’ lunch. Each couple is asked to bring a dish to share with other participants, creating a warm, communal atmosphere and a wonderful way of getting to know each other.
Course Fee:
The fee for the course is £80 per couple. Payment can be made in cash or cheque on the day (cheques to be made payable to Our Lady Immaculate & St Andrew Church). Alternatively, you can pay via BACS transfer in advance. Please contact LJ for details.
