Spiritual Direction (which is nothing like as formidable as the title might suggest) is always one-to-one. The director aims to accompany the directee as a friend on the inner journey towards God. Help is given in recognising positive and negative influences that affect growth and progress. Every aspect of life is encompassed, including prayer. Spiritual Direction is broader and deeper than prayer guiding. It is not therapy, however. Confidentiality is maintained and the directee is not pressured in any way.
