Confirmation is a continuance of what has begun at our Baptism: a continuance of the developing awareness of the reality of faith and the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. At our Baptism faith was conceived: we became part of Christ’s Body, part of his Church. Our Confirmation is the gentle unfolding of what our Baptism means.
For our young people , there is an announcement in the newsletter inviting them to sign up to join the Confirmation preparation sessions.
The celebration of the sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated for all those in the Third Year at secondary school (Year 9) and are members of our parish. Preparation for the sacrament will be done at the parish at times to be determined. Sponsors are asked to participate in formation sessions which include the confirmation retreat. Confirmation is administered by the bishop or a priest delegated by him.
