COVID-19 update from St. Raphael’s Yeading

Dear Parishioners,

It is good to see so many parishioners returning to Sunday mass in the church.

We want you to be welcome, but most importantly we want you to be safe.

From Sunday 21st March 2021 we will operate an “overflow” facility in the parish centre with live streamed mass and communion brought by an Eucharistic minister for 10.30am and 12 noon mass..

So for those arriving before the start of mass, stewards will direct you to a safe space in the church. Stewards will try to fill the church from the front, so usual seats may not be available. Families should use the side aisles, and individuals or pairs use the centre aisles.

Once mass has started, stewards will, (if the church is full or close to full), stop admitting people into the church and direct mass-goers to the parish centre for 10.30 and 12 noon, or to a later mass for 7pm (Sat) and 9am mass.

We will continue to follow best advice with the collection of test and trace information, hand sanitizing and social distance of 2 metres.

The overflow facility will be available for all the services over Holy Week and all services continue to be live streamed on churchservices.tv/yeading.

So in summary, please arrive well before mass starts to get a seat in church. Once the bell is rung for mass to start, the doors will be closed. Any late-comers will be directed to the parish centre thereafter.

Regards

Fr John
