CHILDREN’S LITURGY

CHILDREN’S LITURGY – During 10am Mass on Sunday (during school term time)

During Term Time Children’s Liturgy classes take place during 10am Sunday Mass.  The children start the mass in the Church at the front with Fr David and then are escorted to the church hall after the start of Mass for their class. During the class they will hear an adapted Gospel for Children and take part in activities to support their learning of the faith. The children return at the Offertory and then help Fr David with a reflection at the end of mass on what they have learnt.

These classes are primarily for those children who have not started or completed their First Holy Communion.

For those children who have made their first Holy Communion it is thought they may like to take a full and active part in the mass.

The Classes are given by volunteers who hold current DBS certificates as part the Church’s commitment to the mission of safeguarding all our children.

If you are intentested in volunteering, then please speak to Fr David. It is a great way for parents to join their young children on their faith journey.  There is a weekly rota and training is provided.
